Respite Service Keeva Care offer respite care for vulnerable people who need extra support following an operation or illness, or while their regular carer takes a well-deserved break.

Being a full-time carer can be a very demanding role. Respite Care Breaks are an opportunity for unpaid carers and family to take a holiday or simply spend some time looking after their own needs, safe in the knowledge that their loved one is receiving the very best care. Respite care can be a valuable break for people of all ages and disabilities – it gives people the chance to meet new people, enjoy a change of environment and try out some new activities and experiences.

We tailor our respite stays to each person’s individual needs and our staff team have specialist expertise in supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health needs, Physical Disabilities and Complex needs. Respite care can last for just a few days or as long as is needed.

What to expect:

At Keeva Care we take the time to get to know our respite clients before they arrive, so we can be sure that their stay gets off to a great start. Each respite client has a personal care plan that takes into account their support needs, interests, likes and dislikes, and daily routines.

Individuals have their own room, that can be personalised to help create a familiar abode. Friends and family are welcome to visit their loved one for mealtime or arrange outings with them.

Semi-independent living 16 -18

We primarily offer care and support services for young care leavers (16-18 years old) with low to complex needs. This includes young people with challenging behaviour, those with diagnosed or suspected ADHD conditions and other emotional or mental issues that have caused situations where a high needs care and support is needed. This also includes care and support for young ex-offenders and those with high-risk situations due to gang affiliation or grooming. were staff undergo continuous training and skills progression.

Our main approach to care and support is to initially identify current needs and create a new agreed care/support plan with measurable outcomes/targets using our care management system to deliver individualised care based on the assessed needs of our young people. The bespoke care provided involves detailed plans to ensure safe accommodation and a pathway to a sustainable future and self -independence by supporting the development of skills and inherent ability. We aim to develop our young people by instilling a culture of self -worth and future progression. Education /training remains a major target for our clients.
